After a slew of sexual misconduct allegations and bigoted statements resurfacing, Roy Moore’s time in the Alabama Senate has finally come to an end. Doug Jones managed to pull off an upset, becoming the first Democrat to represent Alabama in over 25 years.
BREAKING: Democrat Doug Jones won election to the U.S. Senate from Alabama in a sharp blow to President Trump that narrows the GOP’s majority in the Senate to two. He beat Roy Moore, a former chief justice of the state Supreme Court who had been accused of sexual misconduct.

Donald Trump even managed to send out a surprisingly coherent tweet congratulating Doug Jones on his close victory.
Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!
