Unfortunately, even the most innovative parts of our industry host flashes of racism, at least according to this recent story.

“Although Tesla stands out as a groundbreaking company at the forefront of the electric car revolution, its standard operating procedure at the Tesla factory is pre-Civil Rights era race discrimination,” an ex-employee said in the complaint, filed Monday in California’s Alameda County Superior Court.

Marcus Vaughn worked with Tesla in the Fremont factory from from April 23 to Oct. 31, only to be fired after filing a complaint for racism within the workplace to HR.

Smh. If anything, this case Vaughn v. Tesla Inc., Superior Court of the State of California (County of Alameda) will hopefully aid in reducing inequalities in the United States, and better yet, the entire world.
