Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger announced on Monday that they are done with Instagram. Although there doesn’t to seem to be any bad blood between these two and Mark Zuckerburg, the sudden departure did come at an unexpected time.

“We’re planning on leaving Instagram to explore our curiosity and creativity again,” Kevin Systrom, co-founder & CEO, said in a statement.

“We remain excited for the future of Instagram and Facebook in the coming years as we transition from leaders to two users in a billion,” Systrom added. “We look forward to watching what these innovative and extraordinary companies do next.”

The two entrepreneurs are finally turning over a new leaf, and there’s no telling what they will accomplish next.
